Ruby Redbird-Preface

 By Muriel Fultz

Ruby Harris was my friend for over three years and she seemed to me to be especially interesting and intelligent, and she had many talents. This helped her cope and enjoy life. What made her different from others? First she lived a long full life. She was very creative in many ways. She had many friends and also a few enemies. Loved animals and had many pets. Traveled a lot. She was very curious and hardly slept. So to sum her up I was glad to have her friendship.

Now days because of better medical treatments, it is not unusual for people to live long lives. Although some do not have the best quality of live and can’t seem to change it. Maybe we could take lessons from Ruby and develop new talents and skills. As the saying goes, “use or lose it.”

Many thanks to Ruby’s friends Irene Thomas and Wally Doreman, for there help and support with this work. Also thanks to the teachers at Point Loma Campus, as they were also very much needed.

The purpose for this writing is to help us all live richer and fuller lives as Ruby did. She valued life, was a trouper and entertained us all.
